Lammas also known as Lughnasadh is on July 31 and August 1. The Sabbat Lammas is more properly called Lughnasadh, pronounced loo-na-sod. This is the pagan holiday that celebrates the harvest and mourns the death of the corn spirit. It is the middle of summer and the beginning of harvest season. It marks the first harvest, when fruits and grains are harvested and stored for the dark winter months and the God weakens as the days grow shorter. It is a celebration of the Celtic Sun God Lugh.
