Airtight container

Step 1.
Stir together 1/2 cup of citric acid, 1 and 1/4 cup of baking soda and 1/4 cup of dried lavender. It may help to powder your dried lavender with a mortar and pestle before beginning.

Step 2.
Add 15 drops of lavender essential oil and 2 tsp. of water to the mixture. You can add about 5 drops of food coloring to brighten the presentation.

Step 3.
Drizzle almond oil slowly into the mixture, stirring constantly. Add the oil slowly, using between 2 and 6 tbsp. You have added enough oil once the mixture holds together in a ball without crumbling.
