A CLEANSING RITUAL

1 tbls bicarbonate soda
5 drops essential oil
juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp. good oil, such as sweet almond
½ cup sea salt
Stir the soda, essential oil, lemon juice and oil together and then blend in the salt. Dissolve in the bath water. Light 4 candles (colors of your choice) and place at the 4 corners of the tub. Step slowly into the bath water, feeling it envelopearound you. Close your eyes. Visualize yourself laying on the surface of the ocean. There is nothing around you, you are alone and at peace. Feel the warmth of the sun beating down on you. Say either out loud or quietly to yourself:
Be Comforted, All is well Now you are blessed.
You have life to nurture and nurture you.
Be calm. Be easy. Be Comforted. You are blessed.

Magical Cleaning

It stands to reason that our magical tools should be cleansed periodically, and the waning Moon is the best time for that task. Gather up your tools and place them on a clean cloth away from your altar. Assemble a bowl of salt water, a burning smudge incense blend, a smudging feather or fan, some clean cloths and a white candle. Light the white candle and invoke your guardians. Begin a methodic cleaning of your tools, wiping down with salt water those that can be exposed to water without harm, and then passing them through the smoke from the smudge while focusing on clearing and cleansing them from unnecessary influences. For items that cannot get wet, pass them three times through the smoke from the smudge or hold them near to the smoke while directing it with the feather or the fan. Cleansing Your Crystal

Several ways are suggested:

*Place it under the light of a full moon/sun for 24 hours.
*Bury it in the earth (make sure you mark it!), for 24 hours.
*Place in Sea Salt Water. One teaspoon of Sea Salt in a glass bowl in cool water. Place the crystal in the water. Make sure the crystal is covered with water. Let this bathe in the water for 24 hours. This is a wonderful way to rejuvenate the power of your crystal. It washes away the negative energy it has absorbed and recharges it with the positive healing energy again.(Note: Some crystals should NOT be washed/cleansed in salt water/sun for it changes their physical properties(not their metaphysical properties), they are listed below:

Not to be cleansed in Salt Water:

*Calcite
*Carnelian
*Labradorite (Spectrolite)
*Lepidolite
*Moldivate
*Opal
*Turquoise
*Ulexite

*Use caution only with the softer Mica and crystaline stones

May fade in Sunlight:

*Amethyst
*Celestite
*Opal
*Turquoise

*Smudge your crystal with sweetgrass, sage, cedar or incense. Pass the crystal several times through the wafting smoke.

*Place your crystal on a large crystal cluster for 24 hours.

*Soaking your crystal in flower water with the petals of the flowers such as rose, honeysuckle, orange blossoms for 24 hours will cleanse the crystal of all it's negative energy.

Crystal Clearing

Crystals are another precious gift of Mother Earth. It is not necessary to have a new crystal for every purpose or working. Crystals can be reprogrammed to new uses with just a bit of forethought and planning. When a particular working for which you have charged a crystal is completed, under a waning Moon, collect up the crystals no longer in use and thank them for their energy in your working. Clear them by first smudging them with sage and cedar smoke and then cleansing them in a salt water bath followed by a good rinsing in clear, running water. Place the cleared crystals in a windowsill where they can receive light from the Moon as she passes through her cycle. Fresh Air Spell   

This spell is to create a room-cleansing mist to cleanse a space of negative energy and create a positive atmosphere. Make a "tea bag" by adding equal parts of rosemary and sage to a piece of cheesecloth. Tie the bag and toss it into water that is just at the brink of boiling. Allow this infusion to steep until it's partially cooled. Remove the cheesecloth bag and pour the mixture into a clean spray bottle. Sprinkle in a few drops of peppermint and orange essential oil and add a sprig of dill and a pinch of sea salt. Place the bottle on your altar or a table and allow it to cool completely. If you wish, make a circle of quartz crystals around it and focus your intent on specific issues you wish to manifest. Spring Psychic Housecleaning Spell

In March the forces of nature begin to stir. The brook beyond my garden is free of winter's grip and the water is rushing again. It's time not just for spring cleaning, but for psychic housecleaning as well. Over the winter our homes may collect unwanted energy. By using some of nature's elements we can ritually cleanse our living space. Begin by opening all windows and doors to let the spring air in. Go through your house and pour bottled spring water down each drain. Visualize trapped negativity being rinsed away. Light a pale blue candle that you have blessed, and moving clockwise about your house, pause at each door, window, and fireplace. Use your power hand to trace the shape of a cross or pentagram before each opening. End the ritual by placing some potted hyacinths in a special place. Room Candle Cleanse

You need:
White candle
Holder of salt

Place the candle in the middle of the room. Sprinkle the salt in a circle deosil around the candle. Light it and say:

Creature of wax, Creature of fire,
Listen to me, Hear my desire
Cleanse this room By the power of three
And blast away all negativity
With harm to none So shall it be !

Leave to burn for at least 1 hour.
